From Wednesday, September 5, RATP communicate in real time on Twitter traffic information 4 subway lines. This pilot project will be extended to all lines by the end of the year.
RATP had announced at the release of the metro areas: it has open related projects. This process will be formalized on Wednesday with the opening of four Twitter accounts, each dedicated line 1, line 4, line 12 and line 13. The four sections of the Paris metro will be the first to have the honors chirping in real time on the microblogging platform, posting over the day traffic information, work in progress, special operations on routes or events that may disrupt the movement of travelers.
These accounts will be active every day from 6am to 21h, and will be led by RATP agents operating in the general Permanence networks where all traffic transport is managed.
“This first phase will assess whether this additional tool to traveler information meets customer expectations prior to deployment of the device to all metro lines, RER and tramway. “Said RATP on its website. Within three months, the other lines of the network should have the same service: RATP has already reserved the accounts of other metro lines but also RER, as A for example.
